Review:
This matte had stains that were not coming out, but it was sure in need of some love. I have been sitting on the unopened kit for almost a year waiting on this car to get out of the shop. Alas I got a chance to use it and I have to honestly say that this product far exceeded my expectations.
It is stupid easy to use and once I got past the initial pucker factor after initially using it on a matte sample I had covered a notebook with, I tried it on the smallest matte piece on the car (the front bumper piece) and then once I was comfortable (which was immediately after) I did the rest of the vehicle.
Flash time is dependent on temperature and humidity, naturally. My garage was a cool 74 degrees at the time of application with probably little to no humidity (thanks AC unit).
Once applied it looked fantastic and while curing and once cured it looked even better and once I put it in the sun, holy cow I was happy like a spoiled 5 year old on Christmas morning.
It made the matte look almost brand new. I’d relate it to 5 year old matte coming out looking (In my opinion) better than the matte on the new T/As. It had such a richness that I don’t think my Note8 camera really picked up but I’m telling you it was there. I LOVE this product and Highly recommend it.
I taped up the bottle (I only used a little bit from the bottle for the hood and roof of this Challenger. Sadly I can’t get any other of the many T/A or matte hood Mopars in the club to pony up for this on their matte but oh well.
I even went to dealerships and tried to sell doing the matte on their Mopars but as expected the dealership won’t pay a red cent for anything like that.
Anyways, props to Gyeon for making such a fantastic product. I know other companies have a product that can go on matte, but was it made specifically for matte? Probably not. This stuff is pretty pricey though. I bought the kit when it was 109.99 but I noticed it’s now 129.99. Definitely worth it if you have a lot of matte to coat, as the bottle is a 50ml. I’m not sure how long it will last once opened but I’ll update this thread once the bottle starts to crystalize.
That’s about it. Thanks for viewing.
