Guys becareful with walmart....

From what I always understood is that how Walmart gets their low prices is by bullying the manufacturers forcing them to sell them a lesser quality product than you could by somewhere else. I am not sure how true that is though. I know I refuse to shop there though. LOL

Same as Home Depot and Lowe's, as far as I know...

oh wow thats somethin. i only buy tank tops and sometimes boxers as far as clothing. thats some crazy stuff.

Bob and bigfoot are 100% right on this matter, they pay their folks low wages and muscle the vendor's on low prices and force them to shipped it free for them to their warehouses or the stores.

I've heard this as well, but to be fair, my business school professors seem to really emphaize this point...

"Wal-Mart is no longer in the retail business. They are a logistics company that just happens to sell goods."

A lot of their sales are on consignment and it's difficult for most other retailers to match their restocking/cycle times.

I think the flip-flop incident was just bad luck that could have happened to Target, Payless, etc. I'm not defending Wal-Mart, but I wouldn't discount the notion that we attribute such horrible customer service problems with them because they ARE the largest retailer in the U.S. (possibly even the world).

Broad exposure is a double edged sword.

yeah, walmart is a corporate giant (they seem to be able to do whatever they want) and i wouldn't doubt one of the reasons that the megs accessories line was discontinued because they couldn't get them in there, because walmart sells there cheap name brand brushes, etc, and makes a huge profit on them...
