i was hoping you guy's expertise could help me fix my guitar to be like new.
i hope these pics show the quality of the paint. It was really nice when it was brand new, and now its just swirled like crazy.
i would imagine the paint is really soft.
Also, what should i use to fill the small holes that i drilled a while ago? It's obviously in wood, and i would like to fill the hole and then put a small dab of paint of it that would hopefully blend in.
I generally prefer to glaze my guitars vs using an abrasive polish since the top layer of paint is extremely thin on most guitars - it's usually effective enough in most cases. I usually use Megs 7 and top it with #16 on my black guitars - looks awesome. If they're too deep to fill, use a very light finishing polish. I was able to use FPII lightly by hand with a foam pad on one of my black strats to remove some damage.
