Their Wheel cleaner is my first choice for regular cleaning. It is safe and more than effective enough for every 2 weeks cleaning.. It has a pleasant scent.

Their paint cleaning clay is great too, however it is very sticky when it gets warm. It is a medium to fine clay, suitable for once or twice a year.

Their Speed Shine is a great QD and an adequate clay lube. Great shine.

Their Best Of Show wax looks deep and rich, with a warm look, but it also makes things look a bit brownish. It is very stringy coming out of the bottle, almost like NEO synthetic grease. I prefer a clearer wax that isn't brown. It spreads very easily, however.

Their vinyl and rubber dressing gives a very natural look that is my choice for concours. I'm not sure on durability, but it is a couple weeks at least.

Their car wash is outstanding. It foams very well, and cleans well, too. I highly recommend it.

Their finest sprayers are great. They give a very fine, uniform mist, unlike others that give off large as well as small droplets at the same time.

Overall, I recommend this kit.

I never know whether those kits are a good deal or not as I just don't spend money on stuff in those quantities :nixweiss

That said, I consider the kit a bit short on (the very good) shampoo and their BOS wax did *NOT* favorably impress me (maybe they've changed it but I used a few bottles of it so this isn't some one-time opinion). The SpeedShine and clay are good, but I don't like them together as the SpeedShine seems to make the clay a bit ineffective (too much wax in the SpeedShine?). The dressing is OK but nothing special and IME it doesn't last very long on tires, but then I guess most other products don't either. The Wheel Cleaner is the only one I use regularly; mild and/but safe.

Eh...I guess it's a nice intro to Griot's stuff, and I suppose it's a good deal. But unless the price is really great I'd rather just buy some shampoo and Wheel Cleaner and SpeedShine (and maybe the clay). I'd think that for just a little more $ you could have gallons of the good stuff and none of the mediocre stuff...but I really don't know for certain.

Is it a good deal, yes. Are those the best products, probably not. Speedshine stands out as the clear winner, it is a well received QD. The wheel cleaner is well liked, but I get just as good results with Megs APC+.

I heard that the BOS wax has plastic in it, as in perhaps part sealant. I used it on a red 91 Camaro, and I didn't love it. I used up to 9 coats on the rear bumper to hide the scratches on it, and then it got cloudy and definitely made the panel look brownish. It did make the scratches all but disappear, however. There are so many more LSPs that I prefer, though, including their Sealant.

Honestly, their Speed Shine is the only lube I have used with their clay, but I know it contains their best of show wax to offer some protection. ( A Griot's rep told me over the phone) I will definitely try another lube the next time I clay. I have some Dodo Born Slippy. You did not like the rubber dressing? Not rich and black enough? Too matte? Honestly, I think it's too expensive for regular use, so I normally use Meg's #40, which I am pretty satisfied with.

Blackthornone- Ah, I wonder if the SpeedShine really *does* have BOS in it or whether that's just some, uhm...loose talk (you know how customer-service reps can be ;) ). Whatever it has, the stuff sure does work well as a leaves-stuff-behind QD. I did use it as lube for their clay for *years*, only discovered there were some approaches I liked better almost by accident.

I can't really say why I'm kinda down on their Vinyl/Rubber stuff :nixweiss Guess it's just that I basically never use it for anything and I have over a gallon just sitting around going bad. I prefer Z16 for tires (lasts a lot longer) and I basically don't "slime" my interiors any more. But eh, there's nothing *wrong* with the Griot's and people shouldn't read too much into my take on it. I used the M40 for a while, but it's just sitting on the shelf now too (wonder if I have any left in there  ).

I'd pick up that kit. I think all of those products are great, except for the BoS wax. It's a real PITA to use, but does leave the paint looking nice.

I recall that it is extremely difficult to remove.

Thanks for all the input from everyone. I am thinking of buying it as a gift for friends who I try to 'drag' into detailing.

If I wasn't *overloaded* with products I would buy it for my self too.
