I've used them since forever. The orange polishing pad is generally pretty mild even though it's quite firm. For example- GG's machine polishes by PC/their pads are very mild but act much more aggressive when used with a Cyclo. Before GG's came out with the red waxing/finishing pads they recommended the orange pad for waxing too- it was a real "does everything" pad in their opinion. Having just called them mild, I'll note that they can be a bit too aggressive for final polishing on very soft paints like my Jag's lacquer, especially if you have to lean on them to make the firm pad conform to the surface. Not a problem on hard paints. In my experience they wear like iron, seems like they'll never wear out but they do start acting (even) milder after many, many uses.
Worth a try IMO, but don't buy a bunch of them until you see how they work for you. I really like them with AIO.
The red waxing/finishing pad works very well for me. Not the softest I've ever tried, sure not as soft as a Lake dark gray, maybe not quite as soft at a Meg's 9006 finishing pad but *very* similar. But it's still functionally nonabrasive in my experience and that's what I really care about in a finishing pad. Works great with "heavy" LSPs and glazes as it doesn't load up like a Lake dark gray can. It is very durable. I've never worn one out and I've used one with 476S since they first came out. But it *is* very different from the super-soft Lake pad. Much more "open" foam too.
Velcro on both pads has been very durable.
