I am an ex pat Englishman, been in N.Z. For 15 years now. Do any other forum members live in New Zealand? Well, I suppose I am what you would call an "armchair detailer" at the moment. In fact if you had the misfortune to clap eyes on any part of the family fleet then you would at best ask me what am I doing here or at worst expel me from the forum. Yes, it is winter here, next to the sea, the driveway is a mud bath and the vehicles live in an open fronted shed with a dusty gravel floor. In twenty one years of marriage my wife has never cleaned a car and my daughter looks like she intends to follow in her mothers footsteps. They don't even keep the inside tidy! So I guess they have just ground me down. But I hope to redeem my self this coming summer - get some floors in the shed, try to do something about the drive, and then give the paintwork some T.L.C. It's hard to keep a car clean here, so I guess that is all the more reason for looking after the paint eh? Wish me luck!
