I have a titanium silver miata that is ready for its first waxing.

I am debating between a carnuba like Griot's best of show (they are local to me) and a synthetic like Zaino. With a silver car which will make my car look most like a mirror (like this picture? The more important question is which will protect against cone scars the most? I've kind of been converted to machine detailing and so I am thinking of applying the above with the PC 7336

I have a silver grey M3 and I use either AIO and SG topped with Souveran or Poorboys Prof Polish and EX topped with Souveran. Awesome!

vroomcrash..

Cone scars? what in tarnation are you doing to that Miata?

You are supposed to drive between the cones, not over them! :nono :doh

I try to drive between them, but every now and then physics wins...

I love that picture of the car, that's the kinda properties I want my finish to have, and most importantly, cone protection :)

Welcome to Autopia! :wavey

Probably the only thing I can think of that would protect against cones is Xpel or some other invisible bra material.... no wax/sealant is going to stop physical attacks.

As far as a mirror like finish there is nothing like Zaino, especially on Silver. It also outlasts most other products.

As to cones, don't hit em........I don't think anything can prevent cone scuffs. I assume they are from auto cross events, correct?

Yeah Zaino is definately there for the looks, but I'm just unsure how well it will hold up to tagged cones during auto-x :) I guess I'll have to do some testing in my garage :)
