Don't shop at Wal-Mart
Tonight at a communion, while drunk with my wife, I funded the detail garage. We will open profit or not in July 2006.

Win or lose, the plan is in place. Maybe we will schedule "guest appearances" from the detailers on this site? The store will be called "The Joy of Detailing".

Thanks -sad but true....(we left the curch, then had the booze)
I have never, and will never, be involved in a deal that doesnt include either an outrageously expensive piece of red meat or bottle of red wine. The chumps that dont party can keep hunting for VC funds.

Maybe I will post the start to finish here, maybe in a weekly BLOG style? I think the business side will interest many of the posters here?

I sold my construction business on Friday, the closing is on June 8 if all goes well, being the 3rd business I have sold, it usually doesnt go as planned. I will have to change my screen name now. The new buyer just wants to close me and take my clients. Same play I did to get into this, I am happy as a pig in shiznit.

I was going to sell the IT business until I recently got a huge flood of rec's and projects.

good a place to have the poorboys detail day
Yes, I will have to engage Steve again with the conversation of becoming a vendor. Hosting the event will be a good idea for PR. Maybe I'll see if I can hire a few girls from the Hustler Club to serve food and drinks to make it a must see event.

I see you're from Massapequa, but where is the shop going to be located?

"J"

Mt. Sinai. Undeveloped up and coming area. Lots of transients with plenty of cash.

Funny you say that...I'm right in Shoreham, when I come home :D.

There is a "detailer" in Miller Place and RP, both shops. Their work is pretty subpar, so no worries.

Keep us posted.

You will have to come by and visit and put a review up here for the Detail city group to read. I'd also like to know what someone like youreself will think of the work my associate is capable of doing, I will most likely not be at the shop regularly.
I have seen both of the the shops, the fellow I am sponsoring took me to them a few weeks back, we had ours cars cleaned by them to test. Both jobs reminded me of what I used to get done for my used car lot at $75 a pop; oily, shiny, filler laden crap.
There is also a mobile guy that is pretty well known out there, I may develop some business relationship with him to sub out the the mobile work. He seems interested in it. I dont think we will be competing for the same customers though.
