These last couple days have been super nice out and I figure it was time to give the GTI a bath. Need to get her ready for Waterfest in 2 weeks. Finally found a matching rear recaro bench so did a quick interior detailing (3 hours :screwy: ). Interior was a mess!! A months worth of pollen had collected on everything. Removed all the seats to vacuum and shampoo the carpets (twice). Everything was wiped down with a mix of APC and then hit with the NXT Interior Protectant. With the inside looking so good I decided to do the outside too. Paint was full of swirls and kinda dull due to me not bothering to clean it during pollen season. For what it's worth I used Menzerna Intensive polish followed by Final Polish II, both applied by the PC 7424. I followed this up with Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze and topped it off with a coat of P21S. All the bumpers/trim/rubber got Meguiars Trim Shine. Tires got Meguiars Hot Shine Spray. Rims got a coat of NuFinish. Enjoy!!!

Still some VERY light swirling. I was hesitant to attack it real hard as there is no clear coat.
Here's a pic of the next car on the list. This ones gonna take a TON of work (wetsanding, compounding, countless hours).
My old man looking like just that.
