Grease on door pillar (felt covered)

What do you think I should use on my driver side door pillar that has grease handprint. I had it in the shop to repair the transmission and when I got it back I notice a greasy handprint on the pillar which has that felt interior covering(Jetta) After some research I thought about using spot remover. I have the Prestone stuff. I also saw advantage being recommended.

The e-book recommends mineral spirits for grease. Is this safe on interior materials?

For heavy great I use Pro's Pro-Sol. I'm pretty sure it is similar to minieral spirits.

I saw a mechanic take some grease spots out of my seats about two years ago. I came in and said, "There are two thumb prints on my seats."

"black?"

"yhea"

He grabs a bottle of some clear stuff and walks out. Squirts it on a rag and wipes each spot a few times and the marks are gone... He didn't tell me what the stuff was but it did a good job and didn't leave any odor I could smell.

It's the same thing as Aerosol Brake Parts Cleaner. I use it on the felt and wool trim and carpet on the Jaguar all the time. Been doing it for years. Old concours trick. :up

Gumout is the best brand. Just don't use the cheap water based "foaming" kind.
