Hello everyone, well my car is in storage right now for winter. I am planning on pulling it out in about a month. My hood, front bumper, and side mirrors are full of rock chips. I am planning on getting them re-painted. Seeing those rock chips while waxing or cleaning my car just kills me :grrr My question to you guys is which hood should I get?

1. http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant....de=GP1002&Product_Count=3&Category_Code=GPEXT

2. http://www.lmperformance.com/1713/12.html

3. Or repaint my factory hood and get rims?

Here is a picture of my car for help:

Thanks for your help! :bigups

I would go with the SLP hood. I don't like the other one how it looks like it has fake hood scoops in the front.

What if I cut out those inserts and put chrome grills in place of it?

My brother has the PFYC hood. I think it looks great and he said it is VERY strong!

That looks great Sean, do u have any full car pics...i noticed he had the clear headlights, i was wondering what the rims look like and jus the full aspect...thanks for the pics and input

If it were mine:

1) Repaint mirrors/bumper/hood

2) Take extra money and buy under drive pulleys

3) Retune or performance programmer

4) Proceed to smoke numerous non-suspecting innocents with your sleeeeper

I have the carbon fiber inferno hood for the 2004 grand prix. it's a very well made quality piece. it's made by kaminari, so i'm assuming that all their hoods are made by kaminari. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it other than their shipping times!

I like the SLP. The combo of scoops and louvers on that other one just looks fake. I mean, they obviously both don't do anything. But fit and finish and quality of materials might be more important than the look. Though SLP usually makes quality parts.

Actually you would be way wrong. The scoops are set up to be able to do a ram air intake, and the louvers are very efficient at heat extracting. Pontiacs run notoriously hot and in the winter I can't even get mine to warm up much past the halfway mark on the temperature dial.

i've circled the ram air inlet which is directly over the intake.

Doesn't that ram air hole seem pretty small? Where's the hood louver heat out from? The cut outs at the back seem way past where they louver on the top. But if they both work, that's cool. It still looks odd to me, though.

I personally like the SLP hood more than the 4 vent, l wouldn't use the SLP hood for induction though, because you would have to buy the SLP airbox and it's still not as efficient as using a K&N fenderwell intake.

i think the stock oem hood is metal? so either choice will see a significant weight decrease over the engine & front end and improve everything overall.

I like the 1st choice, tho, it rings more like the new GTO front end...

I decided to go with this setup; both the hood and front air dam pictured......Comments?

Now onto the rims...what to choose what to choose, looking for 18's :)
