Got something new to try

Wish I had time today but my bike is calling me... :lol

Smells really good, seems to be a citrus scent. More a pale green color than the brighter green in the picture. Should be able to test it tomorrow.

Looks to be a direct competitor to DG's rinseless wash w/Aquawax. No thanks, I'll stick with the regular ONR.

Both will still be offered, the ONRWW seems like it would be good for the few weekly (and bi-weekly) wash customers I have. Nominal upcharge for the added benefit of wax with each wash should add up over the course of a year.

But for regular details, I agree, regular ONR is the way to go.

Next week.

EDIT: It will be "made" next week, but not labeled shipped and available from distributors till December.

It appears from the label it has added UV inhibitors??? I can see that being very beneficial if that's the case.

Had time to wash my car with ONR WW today. There is additional slickness compared to ONRv3. Noticeable but not dramatic given that ONRv3 is already quite slick. With ONR WW it felt like the towels were gliding over the paint cushioned by oil. Seems to clean just as well. My car wasn't filthy and I do have Opti-Coat 2.0 on it but there were a couple bird bombs and bug strikes on the paint which cleaned up easily. Appearance over a 5 day old application of OCW was improved, more depth was what I found most obvious. All in all, for no additional effort over regular ONR, my first impressions are very positive.

Water stayed green throughout the wash process, this is after I'd finished:

Thanks for sharing Scott, glad to see the results are positive thus far. Really wish I could be at SEMA to see the new products from OPT this year.

Hard to say since I added OCW to ONRv2, not the newest version. I'd say in terms of looks and slickness, ONRv2 + OCW is very similar to ONRv3. So ONR WW looks even better and has more slickness than ONRv3. What I am curious about is if it sheds dirt as well as just ONRv3 alone.

The original ONR claimed to protect too. Whats the difference?

Now there is actual wax in the product. The regular ONR has polymers in it that encapsulate the dirt and leave behind something that adds gloss and slickness and seems to make subsequent washings easier. But I don't believe it alone is particularly effective against things like bird bombs. But just using ONRv3 will keep a vehicle beading indefinitely.

My gallon of V2 is nearly empty, so I'll soon be buying more rinse-less wash. IMO, V2 is a good product, but the drying slickness isn't great and I don't care for it as a QD, especially on glass (the towel drags and it can streak/haze at the suggested or weaker dilution). I've tried V3, and in general it's noticeably better than V2, but it's still not a great QD on glass, IME. I've been considering a couple of other rinse-less products (Blackfire, Duragloss, Ultima), but W&W might sway me back to Optimum.
