Got rid of the micromarring (pics)....

Well sort of...I polished a small strip on my trunk lid before I applied the MUSTANG lettering. I used SSR1 white pad, then
PP with gray LC pad. Worked pretty darn well. Won't be able to do the rest of the car til spring, but it gives me hope now.

Here's a pic of new taillight trim and lettering I just installed. Notice the abused 540i in the pic!

I don't like the tail light trim at all, but the lettering doesn't look too bad. But then again, I'm not a big fan of chrome. The only thing that really matters is that you like it.

Car looks really good....now add the sequentials and the center light pulser and it will add a nice touch to it

I want the sequentials....sequentials and pulser would be overkill IMO. Just ordered a chin spoiler...it'll definitely complete the front end.

Looks nice.

Was your micro-marring the remnant of swirl removal? I've observed micro-marring that was originally ugly nasty swirling caused by dealer detailers.

They made a few passes with polish ans gradually reduced them to micro marks.

There is still quite a bit of micromarring, but the DG hides it well(unless you are right on top of the car).
Yes, I caused the marring by polishing. My PWs will be here tomorrow, but I probably won't be able to polish again til Spring(ugh).
If I can get a hold of a junk hood, I'll practice indoors.
