There's an excellent book by Bryan Peterson. I believe it's called Learning to See Creatively. You can buy a used copy for a few bux...it's worth its weight in gold.
Nice link I love POTN, it's where I learned pretty much everything.
Here's another great site KenRockwell.com This guy knows his stuff pretty darn well.
(OP)-If I get a chance in the next few days i'll pm you all the info I can find that really got me off on the right foot. Basically once you learn about your 3 major factors (Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO) you will really excel.
Best of luck and have a blast with your new camera!
^^ thanks in advance. look forward to learning new things. i've been taking just random pictures. i had my first encounter with a rattle snake, even snapped a shot of it too. standing 3-4 feet away from it will really have your heart racing.
I too am looking for a new camera. I looked at a Canon EOS and Powershot. I think both would serve the purpose. I just don't know if I want to spend all the coin on the EOS. If I buy the Powershot, I could buy more detail equip the difference.:woot:
I've been playing with the camera a lot and have been taking great pictures. But if you're considering getting an EOS, I say go for it. I believe it will be worth every penny. Then comes all the other lenses though.
