Got My Heads/Intake

YES! I finally got heads and intake for my car. I'm so excited. I got GT-40p heads, with a 3 Angle Valve Job, new valves and springs, and an explorer intake. I got these from nickm347 on stangnet, THANK YOU! Now i need a 190lph fuel pump, 65mm TB, Inlet Adapter, Long Tubes, O/R H, mac catback, cam...blah blah. IF i get these port matched, i'm going to go with 24# injectors and a 80mm MAF.

I've always wondered about that. The Exploder has the GT-40 engine in it right? If it does, I could just go to the junk yard and take the H/I off them and it should bolt right up. My 5.0 is 100% stock and it's just killing me not working on it. It just doesn't sound like a Mustang and being an auto, doesn't drive like one either.
 
What cam are you going to use. I know a couple of my buds ran the E cam and they were making good power with it. One of my buds runs an E cam with his Vortech and makes 480 RWHP/480 RWTQ. Ofcourse he has a slew of other mods, but the E cam seems like a good choice for a street car. Can't wait for ya to get those and installed and hit the strip. Good luck with the install...hopefully it will be problem free.

i'll be running a custom cam. .528/220 116* LBS. N/A i should be close to 300 rwhp. Hopefully i can get some 24# injectors, i'm sure i'll be maxing out the 19's.

the explorer upper intake is great, the lower is OK. I'm getting mine ported because the intake runners on the lower intake, are a ton smaller than the intake runners on the heads. I dont wanna bottleneck in the system. The heads are great for the price. They can be ported to hell, and out of the box they are a good bolt on. you ahve to remember that they are GT-40p's, that means the spark plug angles are different, so you'll need specific "P" headers.
