i will be tackling our not-neglected-but-never-clean '99 Ford 350.

and of course, just to make it hard on me its the full 4 door and long bed model. its also dark forest green...

its been washed maybe a total of 10 times in the 5 years that we've owned it, and waxed 2 or 3 times. probably the former.

swirls aren't currently a *huge* issue because like i said, its hardly ever been washed.

this thing will be a PITA to wash, and dry. ive done some searching for the OXO and GG wash brushes but have found that both have the possibility to leave marring if im not anal and do a whole panel w/o rinsing the brush.

what methods you you guys (and gals...;) ) use to do huge SUV's/ Trucks like this? i have a few sheep skin wash mits and a step stool if thats all i can use safely.

thanks... :bow :bounce

I just did a 03 F-150 yesterday that was a full 4 door and short box .. It was a mess and had the King Ranch Leather which I had to clean and treat .. It had hardly been washed and the carpets full of ground in sand.

I have a 5' step ladder which I have put foam on the top area and I can lean it on the side of the truck on a cheapie MF towel for the washing and the buffing/ waxing of the roof. I also have a plastic milk crate used for 4 x 1 gal of milk .. I can stand on theat to reach the center of the hood etc.

Took me 6 1/2 hours .. when I am asked to do trucks like this I usually price myself really high hoping they go elsewhere .. but ... if the want to pay .. up to them.

thanks.

did you just use a wash-mit to clean it?

btw, how was the leather in the king ranch? IMO it looks awesome and i wish that package had been avaliable when my parents bought their's.
