Good way to apply #80 Speed Glaze by hand?

What is a good way to apply speed glaze #80 by hand? I have just ordered some to help smooth out my lightly swirled paint on my new car. Do you apply it just like you would wax? I also have a random orbital buffer but with the wax application pad/ terry cloth wax removal pad and a polishing pad that is like that Wooltex stuff. ....ill still probably do it by hand though.

are you using #80 to remove some light swirls? if so, you could first try applying it with a foam applicator pad. if that doesn't do much, try getting a terry towel, fold it up into eighths, put some #80 on one side, and really rub it into the paint.

you should try doing a search for hand polishing. there are probably some posts that describe this method better.

Ive got a terry cloth pad I can use to put it on with....Ive also got a micro fiber polishing towel. Should I use that to remove it?....or should I use my Orbital to do that? (terry cloth bonnet and wool like bonnet)

Remove it by hand withthe MF towels .. I just did a civic today and applied Speed Glaze to a panel .. then wiped off by hand .. comes off easy.

Yeah, remove it by hand with the MF. I wouldn't try the wool-like bonnet on the orbital unless you're dealing with something pretty scratched up; it'll almost certainly leave some micro(? or not!) marring. You might be able to clear that up with a follow-up application by hand, but I'd just avoid the whole issue. Even the terry bonnet might be a bit rough, but you won't know unless you try it (don't experiment on the center of your hood ;) ).
