Hi all,

I need a metal polish for my car and I was looking at the Meguiar's NXT Metal Polish. Ive heard great news about this and I am tempted to buy it. Anyone have any experience with this product? The people on the autogeek product review website gave it a thumbs up and im guessing it's good.

Holland_Patrick, Stephan, Jingerbreadman, Clean_Dean, Charlesw, Poorboys, Jaredpointer, Troy, and all of the great detailers on this forum please provide some inputs. Thanks a ton!!

Oh I just wanted to say God Bless Auto Detailing. I hate to brag but I like it when people think my car looks six months and I got it back in 2004 hehehe.

Can I ask what kind of metal you are going to be polishing? or is this kind of an all purpose metal polish

Hey Beemerboy,

Here is an image of my car, an Acura TSX 2004 model. If you look at the pic, the metal I am talking about are the ones that outline the windows, hopefully I am saying this correctly.

Also the door handles are metal, well most of it. Here is the image link: Acura - 2004 Acura TSX - New Cars SUVs MPVs Automobile Vehicles 4x4

The only difference is that the car is black on this picture and my car is white.

that's not really metal ..that's chrome plating ... you can use almost any cleaner or AIO on them ;)
Metal polishes are made for bare metals that oxidize. you can tell this by rubbing the metal with a non-abrasive polish and see if your cloth turns black ... I guarantee on that car it won't :)

I'm with Steve on this any decent AIO will clean and protect...to take that a step farther you can put a sealant on it if you want

This is why I asked about what kind of metal before I made the suggestion:D

I really really like Mothers Billet polish. It refines the metal soo well after a good polisihing with something stronger like Wenol or steel wool. I can't seem to find it OTC anymore, only on Autogeek.

Joy...did you read what kind of metal he is asking about?

Its plated not real metal...That was the reason I asked before making a suggestion:cool:

If that stuff is chrome plated then i would use Mothers Chrome Polish or try the New Megiaurs Chrome polish i have heard good things about it.

Also Honda and Acura use to cover those strip of metal with a plastic so make sure it does not have that
