Gold Cyclo

I came across the Gold Plated Cyclo being offered at TOTL. Nice looking machine... I wonder if they sell out fast... Who needs a golden Cyclo?? Actually, its about the same price as my kit, but I got a lot more than just the buffer. :nixweiss Bragging rights I guess... "the man with the golden buffer" !? Just having a bit of fun;)

Yep, I saw it. It appears to be a converation piece to be placed on a nice shelf with a spot line shining on it in one very Autopian garage :D

I saw it yesterday also. It's a nice conversation piece, but I think I will continue to use the Cyclo I have now. Now don't get me wrong, if I get an extra $340, I will probably end up getting one if they are still available. However, TOL will probably sell the 33 they have in no time.

Jon,

Sounds like you better insist it gets purchased pretty soon since they are limited edition. Always the possiblity they might not be around closer to Christmastime.

You may be the only one (or just the only one that will admit to this...LOL

I'd rather have something else. Maybe a gold watch.

What's the purpose of a gold plated polisher? I can definitely see spending $3-400 for a polisher, but not because it was plated in Gold. Plus, the description on the TOL site had so many typo's, I wouldn't buy that from them. I'd have it dipped myself if I was oozing out of my ears to have one.

Heh heh, if I buy a third  Cyclo I'd rather have an older model with the aluminum top handle and the cool, metal plaque with the model # on it. I just like using old tools when they'll still do the job. I was watching one on [the auction site] but never bid on it...

Typos? I just cheked and thear was only one! thnks for the heds up.

Correction from "predecesors" to "predecessors" will be made soon. Our editor is down. Yikes

P.S. The gold plating was to celebrate a LOT of years of a successful venture. You can't blame them. We all thought it was a great idea, and there are so many Cyclo fans out there. It's a machine that evokes a great deal of emotion with it's owners.

Indeed it does! I haven't even had mine a year and I can't help but have an ear-to-ear smile when I use it :2thumbs:

If I didnt already own one, I would certainly buy one of these ! I already am the envy of my peers... the gold Cyclo would be over the top !:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs
