I actually have to work all of the airshows at Little Rock Air Force Base because I'm stationed there. Air shows can be fun if you don't work on aircraft for a living. I do like seeing all of the different aircraft they bring in though. A break from the C-130 is always welcome. The B-2 flyby is pretty impressive. They do touch and goes every now and then at my base and unless you're looking for them, you won't see/hear them until they are over you. The A-10 is an impressive piece of machinery too. I've seen what type of damage they cause and what they can take and it's simply amazing. Make sure you bring your own water and snacks, because prices are rediculous. Have a good time and take plenty of pictures.
...And I seriously doubt they'll let you wax the aircraft, but it never hurts to ask.
