So I am going to go do some training at Right Look for either PDR, Interior Repair or paint touch up..I also will be buying a windshield repair kit but dont need training on that.. question is what would you get training it if you only could do one.. Right now I have 80+ car come in my door and most of them are from a used car lot and they said once I learn this stuff I can repair and charge for what is needed..

Has anyone went to them for training? Has anyone had any expierence with them? Do you know any other good places to go for training?

Any input will help greatly

i got into pdr a few years back to do at teh dealership,i am looking at interior repair now because i think those two have the most retail potential. paint repair can be tricky. if you screw it up or the customer isn't happy, they may want it taken to a body shop for repair at your penny.

PDR training is what I'm going to do at some point over the winter . Paint Bull is one training program that I've heard good things about from other PDR techs.

For Interior repair and windshild chips I recived my training at PaintBull.

For PDR I was trained by a tech for two weeks in Cali. I could have went to PaintBull for that as well but with this tech, my business partner and I recived 1 on 2 training. At PaintBull there were 6 to a class I believe. One good thing about PaintBull is you can go back for free if you need more training.

For PDR I think you should have at least 2 weeks of training.

As far as what to take. PDR should make you the most money but takes longer to get good at it IMO.

What seems like the service they need the most?

hit the nail right on the head. pdr is not as easy as it looks to get good at. it takes ALOT of practice. the school i went to said to do 500 perfect dents before doing customer work. some people pick it up quicker than others. also what about doing oil spray and rust proofing? not expensive to buy equipment and can make your money back real quick.
