Going directly from OP to #16? Need a sealant?

Can I go directly from OP to Meg. #16? Some have suggested to use a sealant in between. One advice is the EX-P, but I don't have time to wait 24hrs for it to cure, then applying Meg. #16 as a finisher. Are there other alternatives to the EX-P? What is the importance of a sealant?

For future maintanece between washes, what can I use to up-keep the shine?

Oh btw, my car is Pearl White if that makes any difference. TIA.

it is fine to right to your wax

if you have time you can apply 2 layers to ensiure full coverage for best protection

I'd go right ahead and apply the EX-P and top it without waiting, I hardly think that's the end of the world. What's the worst that could happen?

I wouldn't touch it at all between washes, unless (maybe) if you get a nasty bird-bomb. It's hard enough to avoid marring when you do a regular wash. Wash as carefully as you can as often as you have to, and redo the #16 whenever the beading characteristics change.

That kit oughta be fine, and looks better than some of the kits on the market.

FWIW I find the black/gray pads to be a little soft for my liking (and that's using them with #16) but you should still be OK. FWIW I like firmer pads that still don't have any functional cut, pads like Cyclo white (for 4" applications) or the Griot's red (in 6.5") among others (the Meguiar's 9006 might be a little firmer than the LC black/gray too).
