GM Diamond White Metallic - advice?

Hi folks - I have a diamond white metallic 2001 Aurora that I am going to give the works to. I have never really worked with white (man it is hard to see the scratches and swirls - which is a good thing - but bad because I know they are there - :lol)

I plan to

wash - clay (natch)

then use ssr 2.5 with 8006 pad on hood roof and trunk, then ssr 2 and 8006 on verticals (doors etc)..

so then what - what looks best with White Metallic??

I have UPP, EX, EX-P, Wolfgang's, FMJ, Duragloss, Zaino

Waxes I have Natty's, Trade Secret - do I seal or Wax? any ideas?

To start with white is a easy color to work with but a hard one in some ways to get that bling bling with....Depending on how bad the car is the SSR2.5 should be a good start...its pretty aggressive....I would think that the 2.0 will do the job....again white is easier as you really don't see the swirls....Next step for me is polishing to get the haze off and bring back the luster, not understanding all the prodcuts you have by name looking for a polish....next its either seal, wax or both depending on the time that you have....personally I would use the Netty's and be done with it.

I am a product whore :)

have full FMJ kit with polish and glaze -

ssr2.5,2 and 1, pwc, aio, woflgang kit, VM,

So the swirl and polish I am covered - just looking for some advice on white - sealant or wax I guess...I agree White is so hard to get that bling bling - that's why it has chrome wheels :LOL -

can you wax chrome wheels or seal them??

After the SWR process I would use the WG lineup.....Their polish is real good and will bring back the luster.....I love that look on white....top that with the sealant....then if you have the time Netty's on top....but you need the cure time for that...so the sealant will really bring on the shine....for the chrome wheels....polish and seal them....the EX would be my choice for those

So far I like ExP or EX as my lsp on this color . I'm going to give #21 a try and see how that looks on the next Diamond white detail. Yes it is hard to see swirls but they pop up fine under the street lights at night .

Well, this was pretty shi**y paint. I used PwS & OCW and got this:

I've also had good luck with these combos:

Finish Kare: 330/FX-100/218, touched up with #425 (a KILLER COMBO -my personal favorate).

Optimum: OP/OCW x 2, topped with Poorboys QW+

Menzerna: PO85RD/FX-100/Pinnacle Liquid Wax (Amazing!!!!)

Poorboys.... FPII/PwS/Natty's

4* - UPC, UPP x 2, Natty's White

Klasse - AIO, UPP, S100 x 2

ClearKote: Meg's #80 @ 1200 RPM/ VM by hand/Natty's.

I've used Z on white paint, and it's ok, but not as good as the others listed above.

On your rims, I would recommend Flitz polish and seal with Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

I used to have a white diamond tri-coat Cadillac CTS FWIW.

Ive' done an Aurora in that color before, one of my neighbors has one. I've found that I really like the look of Meg's #20 topped with S100 on it....

Best on white for me was:

2.5(white), 1(white), RMG, ExP.

Looks VERY reflective, stick a coat of your favorite carnauba on top if you want it a little wetter.
