IF you are going for durability, then the oily surface left behind from some glazes can compromise this slightly and during the winter this isn't ideal..
However, I personally am a big fan of the glazing stages and I really like they way they bring out a wet look shine in the paint... For a silver car I would go with Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze, applied before the EX-P. I own a silver can and this is the best glaze I have found for getting me the "liquid silver" look which I crave.
