Glass Polish

My windshield has some tiny chips from rock damage. These blemishes are all over the windshield [windscreen;) ] and are from ten years of driving without having anything done about them.

What should I use on it? I know most glass polishes out there claim to be non-abrasive so will only clean out the chips to make them more optically clear. Is a combination of a nonabrasive glass polish and a clay good enough or can someone recommend an abrasive glass polish?

has an abrasive glass polish that works great for minor scratches, but chips?! I doubt anything will help that.............

The glass polish might make it look a little better...........

Any possible detrimental effects from using Zaino or any other type glass polish? Will "RainX glass polish" help clean it up or is it to be stayed far away from as the rest of RainX's line?

Sorry DK, I just realized that my description was misleading. The blemishes are not really chips per se, but more pinhead sized scratches from rocks hitting the windshield.

Any damage to my baby seems much bigger to me than it actually is ;). No chips there.

Try Zaino Glass Polish. It's not very easy to apply by hand, but with a PC and a white polishing pad.... Will not take out anything but the most minor imperfections, but it really helps. I top it off with a layer of Z2 which gives the windshield a nice look and hides some of the minor chips, while giving beading to rain without the windshield chatter.

Save yourself the trouble and replace the windshield. You'll never get all the chips out and insurance companies waive the deductible on replacement anyway.

I also heard that Eagle one scratch remover also works for this....anyone ever tried it?
