Glass Cleaner

How effective is Stoner's IG on removing "mineral marks"?

Edit: I've used Bartender's Friend...looking for something better.

Well for lightly dirty windows I just use mfs, specifically a damp one described for window use and another to dry off. I tried several times in the past with IG, and have found the high quality damp and dry mfs to work betterfor me. How long has everyone here been using IG? I'm really beginning to think maybe the formula has changed. For the rare occasion of heavy duty cleaning I have a concentrate based cleaner.

I remember reading somewhere that you could use your old claybar to get any tree sap out of your windsheild that IG can't get out. Can confirm this?

yes, you can clay your windshield...don't know about it removing mineral marks.

Marty, there are dedicated glass polishes available (from Griot's, for example). Also, there's no reason you can't take one of your existing polishes and polish your windshield. I do this 1X or 2X per year and follow with an alcohol wipe down. That cleans everything.

Stoner's IG and Eagle One 20/20.

IG on surfaces that are large and easily accessible. Spray on, wipe off with MF.

For awkward surfaces (front windshield and rear window on the inside) I use double-wipe method so IG's aerosol delivery is not ideal for me. When I spray it on to the MF, it foams up and I either have to wait for the foam to go down (and product evaportes quickly) or it goes on the window messy. So I use EO 20/20 for these awkward places.

Sprayway glass cleaner....or 3M...but I haven't been able to find the 3M lately. The 3M was great as it was "safe" for plastics.

Melaleuca Clear Power, half a bottle of concentrate makes about a 32 bottle of cleaner, streak free
