Glanz vs. Waxpolish Soft ????

I am a little confused with the over lap with some of the products in the 1Z line. Can someone explain this to me? I have MP, Glanz and Perls right now. I am getting ready to order PP, Cockpit Premium and Tiefenpfleger. I was also looking at the Glas Polish stuff when I see Waxpolish Soft. How does Waxpolish Soft fit into the line as compared to Glanz? Are Glanz and Waxpolish Soft suppose to be used together or are they a one or the other application? Thanks for the clarification.

Bet993,

Glanz Wax is a highly durable synthetic wax designed to provide maximum protection. It's carwash and road salt resistant. It has no cleaners or polishes in it. It's a true wax.

Waxpolish Soft is a mild cleaner with high carnauba content. It also has concealers to disguise holograms/wheel marks and other blemishes. In addition it contains polymers for extra depth and gloss. It's longetivity is about 2-3 months.

If you want to apply a wax with some cleaning abilities every few months, want maximum depth and don't care about durability, Waxpolish is the way to go. However, it only comes in 1 L sizes and is geared primarily for the detailer. The closest thing to it in the consumer "Shop Line" is Metallic PolishWax which also has carnauba, hologram conclealers and polymers. The only difference is that it doesn't have as much carnauba as Waxpolish.

Again, if you're looking for an easy to use true wax that lasts up to 6 months, Glanz Wax will be your choice.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the clarification Mike.

Glanz is definitely my winter wax of choice.

Presumably you have used all the 1Z products, so I will defer to your advice. Two cars…one black and one silver. I like a slick, glossy, wet, reflective look. I am not all hung up on getting the absolute depth. Durability is somewhat important (but 2-3 months is fine). I really like the water beading and slickness factor of a product. What would be your recommendations in the 1Z line? Also from the reading I have done your new detailer sounds like it will fit into this equation. Thanks again.

It looks like you have the two products that would be the answer to your question: Metallic PolishWax and Glanz Wax.

Glanz Wax's gloss is different from MPW. I personally like using GW all the time because contrary to what folks might think, I rarely have time to use all the 1Z products at my disposal and I'm not out detailing my car every weekend :D

So, I go with Paint Polish or Metallic PolishWax (depending on "swirl and blemish factor") followed up by Glanz Wax. This way I can go as much as 6 months at a time. Using Perls Shampoo and Lackfinish Detail Spray really help me push this further.

IF I had more time to spend on my car I would probably go with Metallic PolishWax every 2-3 months without following up with Glanz Wax. If it is within your budget and you don't mind purchasing 1 liter sizes, go a step further and use Waxpolish Soft.

Have I confused you further? :)

Hey Mike,

We're building quite a pre-order list at detailers paradise for the lack finish detail spray! I can't believe I'm getting excited over this!
