gillion hour correction; CTS-V on Black Diamond Tricoat

First let me say, I have a much larger appreciation for this industry and the patience it requires. My first actual full correction is not perfect but it's certainly close, and it'll be a lot faster next time.

The fact that GM clear is a known hard-case *and* I couldn't for the life of me identify defects reliably without direct sunlight didn't help. I had to make my own sun gun to get this finished half decently.

Products used;

M105 on MF pads

1ZHG on LC White pads

Adams Americana LSP

This is really the only 50/50 shot I bothered with. The 1ZHG didn't jewel it up as much as I had hoped, but I've got some LC Blue pads on the way so I'll give it another shot assuming that the white pads had too much cut in them.

Helluva ride and helluva job man. Great pics. Great detail.

I'm glad someone likes it.. When I posted this up on the Adams forum they politely edited my post and told me don't mention any other products(except theirs) at all.

That is the case on 90 % of the detailing forums. Not here though. :wink1:

Great correction btw!

well, suffice to say ill be giving 3d a good look over next Time I need some more product because of this kind of open exchange!

I'm glad you mentioned something about it, I was about to go tell them my 'thoughts' on the subject.

Nice work, if you were a bit closer, I'd give you a hand. I'm down near Raleigh so if you're ever in the neighborhood - let me know.

LOL. 3hours is like the golden number for me. Everyone's just far enough away that it's completly annoying or would consume half a day to drive to meet up with.

I'll probally find a detailer to new-car prep my next one. Know anyone close to hampton roads?

I'd love to do a "gillion" hour correction but that job has always eluded me....................oh well.

Car looks good though. Pics are on point. Maybe add in some 85RD for even more pop next time.

:D glad you got to experience the long hours it can take to work on your baby. In the end, it's all worth it, especially when you're turning heads and making little kids point.

Great job and sorry to hear Adam's wasn't well accepting of all you did. They do have something to sell though :/

Great work. Love the paint too.

Adams is the devil, they ruined the detailing section on the Corvette forum and then left. They sponsored another Corvette board and had my posts removed as well. Nothing but a bunch of cg products that be had for less from cg.
