Getting started with Scratch removal

Just got the 3 and 1/2 disks from CMA to remove some scratches that I noticed during my last detail. 2 of them are very feint and can't be felt with a fingernail. However there is one that most certainly can be felt when a fingernail is dragged across. I tried 3M SMR on the feint scratches in hopes that it may help but no luck there. I have been reading up on Meguires scratch X and there are a few compounds from 3M that caught my eye namley the Perfect-It Fine Cut and Finesse-It II. I am still a bit confused as to which one I should go with. I am using a pc with the 3 1/2 wool pad to remove these. I was just looking for some advice to get kick this process off. Once I have a the "cutting" product selected I wanted to run my process through everyone just to make sure that I am not leaving anything out.

1) (Product yet to be determined to remove scratch)

2) #7 to lay down some oils stripped from paint

3) BF polish ( I am using that at the moment)

4) BF paint sealant

Based on what I have read here that seems to be the way most do it.

I just want to establish a good product to get started with. Does Meguir's Scratch X actually remove the scratch or does it just fill it in? any feedback would be most appreciated.

Dengsxr,

I would reccomend our Perfect-It Fine Cut Rubbing compound. The Finesse IT might work also, but its a little less "powerfull". The Perfect-It works really good with hand applications, but i use it on my buffer too and it works wonders with that as well.
