Getting Set Up With a PC - Help

So I think I've decided to invest in a PC. Looked at comparisons to a Flex, and besides me not wanting to put out the extra money for a flex just to do my own cars and boat, I think I'm a little less intimidated by the PC.

I'll be doing a couple family cars, a 21ft boat and a jet ski. No fancy or expensive cars and although I'd like everyting to come out perfect, I know as a beginner it won't happen.

Can you guys suggest a basic arsenal of stuff for me to get?

Thanks

Look around for a pc kit with 5.5" pads and Menzerna polishes. There is also a new Porter Cable coming out shortly. More amps and a little more power.

Yeah I remember reading somewhere about the new PC.

If anyone has links to any other forums or websites with some good set ups, please post. Thanks

Check out AutoGeek they have a ton of kits for the pc.

If I get a G110, what size pads do you guys suggest? A lot of the stuff I read shows it with 6.5" pad, which is fine because I think I'm going to use it on my boat before a car. But I can get a 3.5" backing plate if I want to use 4" pads correct? (Basically any pads you can use on a PC I would be able to use on this right?)

I've been trying to read as much as possible, but after a while a lot of it is a blur. And it seems like more people use the PC or the Flex. Flex is out of my price range, so I thought this seemed like a good option.

yes you would use the 3.5" backing plate w/the 4" pads. This leaves a little room between the edge of the plate and pad.

6" or 6.5" pads work really well for a pc or similar when compared to the larger pads.

Do not get the 6.5" pads, they are too big for the pc. Get 5.5" pads along with 4" pads for heavier correction.
