Getting Ready to Try Souveran....

91LSMAN

2002 Chevrolet Corvette
Ok, just placed an order for Souveran Carnauba Paste Wax and Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax. I LOVE Poorboys, but got a "hankering" to try something new just for fun.

My Question is...

Which one of these should I put on before and top with Souveran?

Blue PWC
EX

Thoughts?

(Don't tell me to buy something else-I've spent enought money already. LOL-Made another Poorboys order last night also. LOL)

I would go with EX , I hear ya about spending money I did the same thing the last two days... good luck with the souveran :drool

If all you are goin to do is clean the paint then I would use PwC first then EX then your Souveran. Of course you could forego the EX and use Liquid Souveran then top with the paste.

Have had liquid Souveran on the truck for about a month. It was one of the easiest liquids that I have ever used to apply a thin layer. I was unable to tell the difference from the liquid versus the paste as far as looks were concerned. The biggest difference was the paste seemed to attract dust terribly.

Sounds good. What I might do, is do a different combo on each car. LOL

If it was my choice, I would personally go with PwC then Souveran.

The oils in PwC will wet the paint nicely, and the Souveran will make it look absolutely dripping.

I hope you have good luck with this. It's a good wax but for that kind of money I expected something great.

91LSMAN,

Send me over your shipping info and I will send you a free bottle of liquid souveran I have lying around. I had the regular paste, and although it looked good initially, it did not last 2 washes. I ended up giving it away to a neighbor who owns several garae queens. Unless you drive your car once a month, spare yourself the money.

Liquid souveran is very close in terms of looks, I on the other hand don't give it use as I have found better looking alternatives (nattys blue, nattys, TWUG), that even though dont give you crazy durabilty, they won't break the bank.

I won't even charge you for shipping. If you end up the liking the look of liquid souveran and still are curious about the paste, then proceed to spending the money. But from where I see it, I do not think its worth it.

You are too late. LOL

I recieved my order yesterday.

Thanks anyway.

I'll probably do some "Frankenstein" Poorboys/Souveran combos.

That's weird dude....I've had it last just as long, if not longer than P21S (a little over a month) and I wash every 4-5 days.

Divide the hood into 3rds. Put PwC a on a 3rd,Ex on a 3rd and the remaining 3rd go PwC+Ex.This way you'll be able to compare 3 different looks.Proceed with the Souvern Paste and Liquid Souveran.
I too found the paste attracted a lot of dust.
In terms of appearance a coat of liquid over the paste gave me the best look.

Well that wasn't fair. The product wasn't gone after 2 washes. What was gone, was the majority of the slickness and looks. The product still beaded and looked ok, but after 2 washes the "wow" factor was gone.

I think I'm going to try Poorboys Polish with sealant, followed by Liquid Souveran on the Vette this weekend, just to see.

Joyride>>>I would be more than happy to try the liquid souveran if you are wanting to clean up a few products... :drunk: want my shipping address?? :)

I have used Souveran for years and yes its a great product but for a lot less money I like Nattys Blue just as good!

For Black and Red you just cant beat the wet look of Souveran. Do like the new Pinnacle SSII too, got some last week and tried it out on dark blue car and is looking very sweet! It's not a hobby, it's an addiction :dnaughty

If you have some AIO, that's what I'd use as a base.

Right ! AIO is one of the best bases I have used. But I imagine most of us will get great results, no matter what product we use.
