I've just put new wheels on my SL500. The factory - for identifying or whatever reason - sprayed a bright yellow dot about the size of a coffee cup for both back tires on the tread, in the middle of the tire.
Obviously the paint wore off the tread in the first few rotations, but is still there inside the tread and on the base of the tire. Because of the color, it stands out whenever I'm parked and the spot is visible from the back (more times than you would think!)
Nothing I have tried has got rid of it, and it's hard because the tread has a V pattern which means the paint is in a very tight spot. And because I don't use the car in the rain means it won't wear off.
Anything I can do, without damaging or scouring the rubber, to get rid of this barrier to perfection?
