Getting MF white again?

I made the mistake of washing all my microfiber together (all new, first wash). I had several colors in there as well as 8 DF Concours white cotton MF towels. It seems that the white MF now have a slight orange tinge. Any suggestions on how to return them to white? I don't think that MF is able to be bleached?

thanks:yikes:

Good luck with that. I did the same thing a while back, and my white ones have an orange tinge as well. Nothing I have tried has gotten them back white. FWIW, I don't think it has any effect on their ability to work or anything, they just look like they lost a battle with a Sunkist soda. :)

As you now know, you're not the first and probably won't be the last.
Like Jared, I have never had any success with getting rid of color bleed into other items.
This problem is why you don't wash your shorts with your red shirts. Unless you happen to like pink underwear. :)

It shouldn't make a difference...I find my MF towels never truely ever regain their original color fully.

And a special thanks goes to Jared Pointer to changing his avatar to bug squash from that creepy looking guy.:lol2:

no you can't use bleach on most microfiber, but you might be able to use it on the DF ones as they are made of cotton ...you might want to check directly with them;)

Charles, you don't like pink underwear :rofl :lol2:

I guess I have been lucky just last week I washed 30 towels and they were White-Blue-Gold-Lavender-Green and all came out looking good.
If these had faded what color do you think I would have.:rofl

I wash all different colors at a time i never noticed anything. Hmm i guess i should not put white with them or they will bleed. Will Microfiber absorb the dye like cotton will?????

Come on guys, we've all seen worse looking avatars than that....... ;)

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy: Heck no i haven't :surrender :lol2:

I don't recommend it because most people use way too much bleach which "burns" the fabric. Color bleeding is common with all reds (red, orange, pink, etc.) on cheaper dye processes. Once the dye bleeds to a white fiber it's like a stain, it won't do any real damage to the towels, they just look funnny.

Hanging out in the sun on the clothes line for a few days may help. Especially when the dew gets on them in the am and basically bakes off during the day. The sun will naturally bleach. You can also try Deft, or baby clothes wash powder and HOT water? Might help, but dont think it will get all the stain off. Worth trying... sun is free (at least for now) :wink:
