Getting a job in the industry

I have a passion for perfect paint finishes, as we all do around here. It may just be me, but i really envy Mike Phillips job because he gets to work with all those great products and get paid for it. I would love to have a job in this industry and was wondering about how one would get started. Im inquiring about a job at meguiars or any of the other detailing manufacturers. Im just fascinated by all of it, thanks for any help.
 
I wonder the same thing, particularly in that I have a business degree - I feel I could be very useful for a major industry company. My passion for the perfect shine is unmatched (except by all of you fellow autopians!)

Would a certain degree be useful in this search, i now that the passion alone for the ultimate shine is not enough, thanks
 
Marketing, Robb, it's all about marketing.

Try to count the 'total' number of companies that manufacture their own line of carcare chemicals. Then count the number of household names...



Want a job calling on Dealers, detailers, etc? I know of TWO available, established territories (different brands/companies) in Central Indiana right now. You'd get your own truck and everything!
