Within one month Dedication To Detail, Inc makers of The Edge, The Edge2000 and The Edge DA will launch the NEW EDGE2000 DA double sided, snap on, NO BACKING PLATE DA pads for the PC!!!!!!!! We are almost done our testing and the results are PHENOMONAL!! With no Velcro you will never worry about the delaminating issue ever again!!!!!!!!!!!! And because they are double sided you will never worry about hitting any dangerous backing plate on your delicate paint!!! We will also have COMBO DA pads available so you can have both your buffing and polishing pad in one pad!!!!!!!! I have been quiet about this until you were ready to let the cat out of the bag!

They look even better than I thought they would too!

So available in 5 different grades of foam (black, yellow, green, blue, white), able to make custom pads and mix and match colors and eliminate the need for a velcro backing plate! I think this may be a winner!

I can't wait to beat up a few samples to see how they hold up.

Because of the density of the foam we will only have 4 colors available. Yellow, Green, Blue, and White. If you need a pad coarser than the Yellow you really should be using a rotary high speed. I should be able to have samples to Dwayne by end of next week!! (only for testing)

Aaron.....im glad you headed the advice from people across the DC forums. I guarantee that this product will be a smash hit simply b/c so many people own PC's....there's a huge market share just waiting for these.


I wish you the best of luck, hopefully ill be picking up my set of The Edge pads for my PC sometime in the future.

Aaron these are great I switched over to your system for my rotary about two months ago and just love it! I was just thinking how great this would be for my DA and now it's a reality how cool is that!:) I noticed you said that you won't have the pads available in the black is that becasue it can't be made or other reasons? I would really like to have all the pads available for this DA system. Reason being I have alot of exotic car owners you only want the DA used on their car. If you can make all five pads I think it would be a good idea , I'd be buying them all if you did.

Thanks for taking the time to adavance the detailing industry, it's stuff like this that makes my job enjoyable.:)
 
Aaron forgot to ask are the locking pins the same as the orginal 20000 system? Meaning could one use the orginal 2000 series pads with this new DA atttachment? Thanks
 
Dear Doug,
The answer is YES!! The same adapter will work between the rotary and the DA that is the beauty of the system. Not only can you switch between the rotary and the DA without changing plates but also change pad sizes without changing plates. Its totally universal and convenient!!!!

right on i just bought a pc and dont have a bunch of pads. so ill just wait and switch over. way cool:badabum :dj
 
You made my day....I have had soooo many problems with the Edge DA pads ripping in half or coming off the velcro backing. This is gonna be a much needed improvement. Can't wait!! We use nothing but Edge pads in my shop and they are absolutley awesome.
 
I hope they hold up well cause the velcro systems suck. I have lost too many pads when running at high speed. The only concern I have is the pads seem really high off the machine with the adaptor ... it seems like it would put a lot of stress on the bearings and make the PC more difficult to control. I used the pad that came with the machine the other day after using the Meg's system and since it was higher in profile the PC vibrated more and it was more difficult to control. It would be nice to try this out before commiting to a complete change in systems. I like the concept and have thought about changing to it on my rotary.
 
Great....i was just about to order my PC sometime this week with a backing plate and supply of pads...should I not anymore and just wait for these?

Im so confused
