Get latex paint out of carpet?

Anyone know how to get latex paint out of carpet? It's actually in my house on a cream colored carpet. Burnt Orange paint. Small bits of paint. The canvas I had laided down to protect the carpet leaked through.

Goof-Off ... can be found at wal-mart

Wouldn't Goof-Off be too strong? Maybe leave behind a strong odor?

It might leave some odor ... it will disipate after a while. I have used it in the past for the exact same reason. A little goes a long way.
You can also follow up with a light mist of 409 and wipe with a damp cloth. That will help remove some of the odor.
As always, try a small spot first.
