Get a PC or not?

My birthday is coming up soon, and I don't know what to get.....there's not really anything else in the price range of a PC, some pads and some polish that I can get for my car. I have some scratches on the front and rear bumpers, some rock chips on the hood which I can't do anything about other than touchup paint, and some cracking/spiderwebbing on the front bumper. Other than that, the rest of my paint is good....fenders, doors and quarter panels are nearly perfect. My swirls are VERY minor....you need to look closely to see them. The '66 Mustang can use it though.....swirls galore. So, what do you guys think? Should I get a PC now and fix what ever is wrong with my paint and keep it for the future, or get something else?

Matt,

I think a mechanical polisher is almost a must have item if you want to really take your paint to the next level. It can correct paint problems that can be a real bear to do by hand and fix problems that might be imposible to do by hand. It can also speed up the process. Plus its a tool. How can you have too many tools?:)

edited for my great spelling:eek: its early be gentle

I just picked up a PC (early Father's Day gift) and even with new cars it makes a huge difference. The time that it saves alone is well worth getting one, the bonus is the way the cars looks after I use it

In my case results using a PC are far better than I could do by hand. But I'm not sure it saved me a whole lot of time though.

this is a no brainer GO FOR IT.There will be times you will have spots marks or whatever on your paint that only will come off with a PC.

You will love it. You can polish more evenly and deeply, usually on only one step what would take two steps by hand.
