This past weekend I did the following routine on my dark blue Maxima:
1. Washed
2. Clay Magic, using car shampoo as lube
3. Washed
4. Megs #7
5. Pro Yellow Wax
6. QD (I used the Clay Magic lube)
The whole process took about 5 hours. Excellent results, especially after applying #7.
I'm now considering adding GEPC/SEC the next time I detail my car. I understand GEPC/SEC is mildly abrasive, so it will clean (remove the old wax), plus it will polish. Does anyone else here apply GEPC/SEC before #7? I plan on switching to S100/P21S wax after I finish my can of Pro.
