Gel Coat/Motorhome suggestions wanted

So I was unable to think of anything to give my dad for his bday, so I told him I'd detail the exterior on their 35' motorhome. It's a 1 year old Monaco that he keeps covered when it's not in use, so there shouldn't be much cleaning or oxidation required. I've searched and noted that AIO is recommended a lot for gel coats. I'm just wondering if it alone will give good protection or if I should use SG and/or P21S on it after. They are heading to Myrtle Beach at the end of the month, so I'd like to get it done before that if we get a nice weekend. I've got a new PC on the way, so I may have to break that out for this job. :)

Also, any reason not to use normal tire dressing on RV/truck tires? I can't see why there would be, but thought I'd ask. I'm planning to just use whatever chrome polish we have around for the wheels.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Well, that would be a job tailor made for a PC. Make sure you have lots of pads on hand. A machine will make life sooooo much easier its not funny.

AIO would work fine if you have it. You might also want to look at specific RV products from Meguiars, Duragloss, and Protect All. There is a Camping World store in Belleville off I-94 just west of I-275 and DTW. They'll have lots of stuff just for RV cleaning (I bought QEW there) like black streak remover and rubber roof cleaner.

I wouldn't bother topping AIO with a wax on an RV. Stick with polymer sealants and synthetic waxes. And you can use whatever dressings you want on RV tires. They're made of rubber too, ya know.

Many of the tire manufacturers do not recommend tire dressing for any tires. That's because it appearantly dries out the side wall rubber and may cause cracking.

My feeling is that since tires on RV's are already prone to dry and crack, because they are on the RV for an extended number of years, you may want to think twice about applying tire dressing. One time should not be a problem, but I don't think I would do it on a regular basis.
