Gave OCW another chance

I've used older versions of OCW in the past with no problems, but recently after trying out Duragloss Aquawax side by side with a sample of a (fairly I guess) recent version of OCW I swore off OCW because of the streaking issues I was seeing. I cleaned up the wife's accord again today since it was textbook car washing weather (no sun, mid 60's, etc) and as I was wrapping up I remembered that I gave my bottle of 951 to Rasky, so I decided to give OCW another shot. This time I had no streaking issues. With AW, I was misting the panels while still wet, drying, then coming back around to wipe off the haze, I did sort of the same thing with OCW last time and had issues. This time I dried the car, then came back around, and used it very sparingly on the dry panels, spread it around with a medium nap mf and it turned out great. Here are some comparison pics, granted the light isn't the same, but it will give you an idea.

To me, now that I can see the same car side by side, I do think the AW looks quite a bit "softer" if that makes sense. What do you think?

Well, to me the OCW has more definition, sharper, glossier. Examining pictures can be deceiving, but I always try to find comparable neutral points, both on the car and in its close environment and then I check the surfaces, reflections. The cam focus seems to be comparable, so I cropped the relevant part out of the OCW pic, resized them to be the same size. The AW is totally uninspiring to my eyes, but the OCW is crisp and lively.

Is it the 1st or 2nd gen OCW? Because the 1st gen was a bit sensitive to separation, so unless you didn't shake it well, it streaked here and there. It developed its final appearance slower too. But the 2nd gen is stable, the look is immediately there and never streaked or smeared for me.

And to top off all the work I put into that car on Sunday (which I was doing to get ready to trade/sell it this week) some mouth breather rear ends my wife today. I mean like literally was probably do a deal on a Subaru tomorrow evening. I guess I just wasn't meant to have nice things.

back to the original point of the thread looking at the pics i like the ocw better it seems to be clearer, glossier and have better depth to it.
