Gathering Data for APC Poll

I was looking for APC/Engine Degreaser suggestions and did some searching including a Member Poll which was done nearly 4 years ago, so it may be time for an update.



Before posting a new member poll, I thought I would ask which products should be on the poll. Here is a list for starters:



Megs APC + 1

Eimann Fabrik Hi Intensity

Simple Green

Orange Blast

Autoglym Engine Cleaner

FK 221-D

Griot's Engine Cleaner



Which good ones am I missing?

Personally, I found that paying anything more than $5.00 for a gallon of APC is a mistake especially for an engine degreaser. P21s TAW on an engine? What a waste of money in my opinion. Plus they all have roughly the same dilution ratios. I can get the two I mentioned at WalMart and use them for engine degreasing, tires, wheel wells, paint work all the way to interior vinyl and carpet work. Just follow the directions for proper dilutions.



The only thing I do not use them for is uncoated leather.



Ever look at ebpcivisi's interior details? He uses cheapo Costco brand Kirkland APC 10:1 and a steamer. The interiors look phenomenal.



I've tried about 6 degreasers and paying for a boutique line is a waste of $$$



If there is one thing to look out for, it is to make sure it doesn't blush aluminum or cloud plastic like Simple Green can.

Well, I don't exactly have a reputation for being frugal :o But I like the TAW on engines :nixweiss Probably just familiarity, but for one thing I know how it'll behave on factory undercoatings (the stuff some people call "cosmoline") and anything else it touches.
