Sort of a detailing question, but wasn't sure where to put it, so here goes...
Yesterday saw a red car (don't even know what it was) that was heavily oxidized - to the point of being more of a pink than red. However, there was one area that was not oxidized at all - looked nice & glossy. It was right below the gas door, in a pattern where it was obvious that gas had been spilled there. Hmmm...
Will gas either (a) prevent oxidation or (b) remove it? I know it's not good on paint, but just found it strange that where gas had been spilled, the paint wasn't oxidized.
