Garry Dean - Tampa, FL - 08 Jet Black BMW 335i detail / Speedy Prep Towel Review

Garry Dean Quality!
I received a Speedy Prep Towel in the mail the other day to my surprise... My buddy Brian Horn decided to just purchase and mail me a kit... What a kind guy. I share some of my thoughts on this towel in this video.

I detailed this 2008 Jet Black BMW 335i this past weekend and let me tell you, it was effed up!

My client washed the car with a dirty wash mit and viola... SCRATCHES occurred... Go figure.

I brought it in for a 2 step correction and to try and reduce the visibility of the severe scratches.

Have a look... Let me know what you think.

Thanks for watching!

Glad to see you tried the speedy prep towel. Maybe the newer fine grade towel coming out would produce a little less marring .The Solitare left the car looking dripping wet. Looks like you may have a hit there .Great video as always. Thanks for sharing Garry.

Great job on the bmw. Can't wait to see your review on the fine version of the speedy prep towel.

Great job on the BMW Gary, looks very nice! I've used the speedy prep towel now on 3 vehicles, the last one I did this weekend was a midnight blue Subaru Outback and I would classsify that paint as "medium" in hardness, D300 with a MF finishing pad hazed it slightly, I switched to Menz. Power Finish on the MF finishing pad that worked great, but after using the towel it left a light "scuffing" on the clear. I used Final Inspection as my lube and folded it into 4th's and used it that way. Not sure I would use it on soft black, but then again, I wouldn't use a Magna Sponge on soft black either.

Nice work Garry.

You need to properly break in the speed prep towel on glass for at least 2 mins when new. This removes a coating that is applied to the towel in the manufacturing process. Use the supplied "glide" when breaking in the towel. I find that the towel also works great on glass.

Looking fwd to trying the solitaire.
