Gallon refills

I'm a full believer in buying in bulk. I buy most of my car care products in gallons if I can. It not only saves money but it's better for the environment because it cuts down on the plastic bottles that get used.

Problem is refilling my spray bottles. I always spill some trying to refill bottles. I thought about getting the sprayers for the gallon jugs but I don't want to lug around the jug plus for APC i need to dilute it. I saw Adams has a screw on funnel for their 16 oz bottles but I was wondering if it fits other bottles? What do the rest of you do?

I have the funnel and does fit most bottles (16 and 32 oz sizes): PoorBoys, all AG, etc. It does not fit Griots. It is a standard size. I picked up some empty 16 oz bottles and refill those so I can travel light but keep some APC in both quart and pint spray bottles.

I have seen the funnel elsewhere but do not recall where.

Thanks! That's what I wanted to know. I did a search and I found one made by Zeps. Looks the same except for the color.

Attach something like this on the gallon and you can leave it there and just pump out what you need in the 16oz spray bottles.

I have a pump for my car wash. I didn't use on the gallon bottle I'm using now because it sat too high to get back on the shelf where I keep the gallon jugs

This one is the same as the AutopiaCS has mention, great for your gallons to use in pumping into your smaller containers.

You can take the pump off after using it and put the gallon jug back as usual.

Well I broke the cap to my soap bottle so it looks like I'll be using a pump for a while lol. I just bumped against the shelf and the top cracked and left the threaded part attached to the jug.

I never knew Adams sold threaded funnels. I have been using threaded funnels for a few years now. The ones I use are made by ZEP and I think I got them for a buck or less from a flea market. I don't know if they even make these particular ones anymore or not.

I really like them though. They work great for diluting products into the 32oz spray bottles.

If you were to find yourself in this situation again and didn't have a pump to fill the hole with, you can make a quick seal by placing a piece of plastic (stretch-wrap even) over the hole and wrapping a rubber band around the threads a few times.

That certainly will work and if you have a left over flip top from another bottle headed for the trash it'll fit as well. I believe these are a standard 26mm thread commonly used on many bottles today...

Never thought of plastic and a rubber band. I'll have to remember that in case it happens on one of my other gallon bottles.
