Hi, i just got my first car and i'm crazy about trying to keep it clean and shinny whenever possible. So tommorow after taking tha SAT's, i gonna try to do a real good job on cleaning the car. The products that i have are:

Black Fire PAint Protection

BF Gloss Enhancing Polish

BF Shampoo

BF Detailer

Sonus Wheel Gel

Meguirs Scratch-X

My car is black an i want to know what would be the best way to clean the car.

1st) USe Dawn? to get all oils out

Sonus

2nd) (no Clay bar) Scratch - X

3)I heard use BF QD to get rid of residue

4)Glosh Enhancing Polish

5)Paint Prtx

How does this sound?

And what should i use to apply and remove/buff this stuff, like what certain things for each. I got the absorber, wax appilcaters, the koala soft towels, terry clothes, any thing else.

THANKS

I would use the products you listed in this order:

Sonus Wheel Gel

BF Shampoo

Meguirs Scratch-X

BF Gloss Enhancing Polish

Black Fire Paint Protection

BF Detailer (I am guessing this is a quick detailer)

I would use foam pads for all of the products that need to applied by hand and a really soft cotton towel to remove any of those products.

Your on the right track to cleaning your car but there is only so much a soap and polish can do. A clay bar will really help you out. Your car will have a little more shine to it but it will really really feel smoother than it did before you used the clay.

About the quick detailer to get rid of the residue from Scratch-X, I don't know if that is such a good idea. Scratch-X works by filling the swirls in with oil that are there to mask your paint. The "residue" you would be removing would remove the "oil fillers" that are supposed to stay on the paint to hide the swirls. Now as I think of it, a quick detailer is not made with any alcohol so it cannot remove the oils in the first place, if it did, people would remove all of thier sealent or wax whenever they quick detailed.

If your looking to hide the swirls for good, look into 3M Swirl Mark Remover, it will fix the swirls, not hide them and you can use alcohol in a spray bottle to remove the true residue left by the 3M product. From there you can get right to your BlackFire.

I know this may be a little confusing, let me know and I'll try to simplify things, I was trying to get a few ideas out rather than a single idea in detail.
