Full trailer graphics pending!

Worked out a deal with a graphics guy about a week ago. He needed his bathroom remodeled and tiled with white marble and wanted to save a few bucks by trading services.. I worked it out to where my trailer is going to be fully wrapped in black vinyl and really really nice logos on both sides and the back, back window vinyl graphic, 1000 custom business cards, and 500 custom flyers, AND 500 custom door hangers. He priced me at 1700 bucks, and i quoted his bathroom at 3000. Since one of my old professions was tile and hardwood floors (when the housing market was booming 2 years ago), I figured 4 days of hard labor is worth the trade.

Dropped off my trailer with him yesterday. Should be ready by sat or monday at the latest.. Started working on his bathroom on wed. had to do one of my corporate accounts today. gonna go back for tomo, sat, and sunday. He is supplying all materials. I brought my own equipment (tile saw, etc). The location is 2 hours away and he is paying for travel as well.

Here are a few pics of the work so far.. Backerboard is all up and waterproofed. Starting to lay the marble tomorrow.. And a few pics of work today. Had to load all my stuff in the back of my truck temporarily! ha.

What a deciving thread... You mention a trailer with possible graphics coming and you show us a torn up bathroom?? What exactly is the point of this thread again? How well the trailer is going to turn out or how well you can tile a bathroom???

I'm actually pretty interested. I presume the red stuff is waterproof joint compound. I'm puzzled that I don't see any drain opening in the floor.

EDIT: Oh, maybe that's it in front of the bench with something over it. I wonder if there is anything good to look at out the window while you're showering. Are those horizontal spray nozzles like in a tunnel wash?

ok, i will make this easier for you by double spacing my lines jake.. I am

working on a guys bathroom and in return, I will receive graphics for my trailer

AND some cash to boot.. Of course I cant show pics of the trailer yet, because

it is a work in progress. I thought my first post was sufficient enough, but I

guess you got to slow it down for some people.. The reason I posted the pics of

the bathroom is because that is the stage i am on now. some people may be

interested and some may not, but I see alot of 'confused' people (claude and

dmw). So choose to ignore the post if it is not 'entertaining' enough for you..

Anyways, I will continue to post pics of my progress and the finished results of

my trailer Monday or Tuesday.

setec, its 3 nozzles on either side, one 'rain' head on the roof, and a steamer all the way down by the floor level. I built that bench using cinder blocks and backer board. Tomo, im getting up at 5 am so I can be on the job by 7 30 (2 hours away). Lost a day because I had to do a corporate account job today. Re scheduled all the individual appointments for next week.

This is a

very stupid and pointless

thread then. Because Nobody

cares about bad bathroom pics

when you advertise new graphics on

a trailer... Do you get why this is a complete

and total waste of bandwidth yet?? You decived us

yet again... Wow... Go figure... We don't care what

you have to do to get the graphics... I guess if that's the case

I should go post pics of me going to the bank and talking

with the teller and posting "Hey guys buying a new car!!" :spot

Jake, you're buying a new car?

Flawless, I see those newfangled shower things in the store and I am just puzzled...seems like when we were kids and used to run thru the lawn sprinkler instead of taking a shower!

maybe try not being a cock hole ok?

so far the two posts i've read of your are you claiming to own a garage full of cars that are in fact NOT yours, but are located in a different country. And then the second one is this one. The title is somewhat deceiving, maybe wait to post a thread till you have pictures of your ride to post up.

The spacing made it a lot less 'confusing,' thanks.:rolleyes:

Not to sound to logical, but if I make a thread about a wrap on my new trailer, then I would post pictures of the wrap on my new trailer, not a washed lexus and me re-doing a bathroom. A logical explanation before the pictures would have also made a little more sense to some of us.

Thats just me though.. :spot

ok. here's the pics.. vinyl was printed out today. will be installed tomo and sunday. the best quality i have ever seen. no pixelation, even up close. fully laminated as well.. so was there any doubts that I was getting them?? seems that way..

I had no dount you were getting them done. (would seem rather stupid to make a post if you weren't) I just thought it was dumb posting pics and stories that had absoultly nothing to do with the graphics... ( I still say who cares about a torn up bathroom)

That being said the graphics look great. When are they going on to the trailer? And is that Benz a car you cleaned up and took pics of or just some random car image your guy found? Love the water droplets too. I think they add a dramatic touch to it. Great visual.

flawless. im not trying by any means sound like an *** here. im curious though you advertise mobile detailing, but just the other week you say about why not just wash cars in volume and make all kinds of money. now this past week you post a picture of a dynabrade polisher which is like 375 new. and a picture of a 30$ rotary from harbour freight.

http://www.autopia.org/forum/machine-polishing/117769-new-use-buffer-frustrated.html

now why would one even think of busting there *** all day doing a polish job when they can work volume? im curious why even waste your time?

the graphics are laminated, so they will be much tougher than usual.. and I do volume jobs to pay the bills UNTIL i can amass enough 'detail' clients, then I will have a second full time crew to cover the volume jobs.. And the mercedes is one on his lot (he owns a Mercedes dealership as well). He showed me his draft and I said to roll with it! and the water droplets are awesome!

and if I can get 4000+ dollar graphics on my trailer for a trade on a few days of labor (he pays for all materials and travel expenses), then I will take it! wouldnt you?

and the bathroom pictures are posted because that is WHY I am getting my graphics.. Just thought some people would be interested..
