Hey Guys. My fiancee and I are getting ready to buy a house, and think it's best we get rid of our biggest current luxury item, namely the "garage queen" 2003 Ford Thunderbird Premium Edition. It is what Ford called "Desert Sky Blue" at the time, and now is known simply as Dupont's "Robin's Egg Blue Effect." Only 1744 were produced in this color (all model year 2003), and of those, only 573 were done in this one's particular premium configuration of interior, interior accent, matching color hard-top, SelecShift transmission, and 17" 7 spoke wheels.

This car has been kept fully and immaculately detailed using Optimum Polish, AIO, WG Sealant, S100 and Pinnacle Crystal Mist. The convertible top, interior and wheels are all done exclusively with 303 products. My methods and tools have been strictly Autopian for years, on this car and others.

All mechanical maintenance was done on schedule at 5-Star Ford Dealerships, and can be verified by their computerized records, available online. The mileage is at 34,400. We are the second owners, and most of what we've put on it has been a few long trips (1000 home from Houston, 1500 round trip to NJ, 1500 round trip to Jacksonville, and about 2000 accumulated in a few round trips to Indianapolis, Nashville, Cincinnati, and St. Louis. Highway chips were avoided by a "blue painters' tape" mask on the way home from Houston, and highway-trip only use of the custom Ford leather bra ever since.

While not a true "sports car" to those who fancy the likes of Corvettes, Vipers, or Cobras, this car is definitely a blast to drive, and a real conversation starter. The SelecShift transmission allows clutchless manual shifting, and the traction control can be manually disabled at the push of a button, if you feel the need to screech the tires (not that I would do such a thing). Horsepower is 280, and torque at 286 ft-lbs. So it's certainly enough to beat most people off the line at red lights, or pass at will on the highway.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to post here or PM or e-mail me. If you're in the Louisville, Kentucky area, you are more than welcome to check it out in person. Here's a cool link to lots of info about the 2003 T-bird, as well as the other 2002-2005 "Retro 'Birds" 2003 Ford Thunderbird colors and options

Thanks,

--Jim
