I`m sure as many other RS customers have experienced, it was a long time coming for my customers vehicle to arrive. Almost 365 days after the order was placed it was ready for pick up from the dealership. The vehicle made the trip from almost two hours away to be prepped and coated with only the best... CQuartz Finest.
First things first, the "Focus" badge was removed from the rear tailgate.

The wheels were cleaned with Meguiar`s Hyperwash, and various brushes. The tires were cleaned with Tufshine Tire cleaner and the wheel wells were cleaned with Shine Supply Solution.

The rest of the vehilce was safely washed using the two bucket method, Meguiar`s Hyperwash and a Microfiber Madness Incredisponge. Once the paintwork was cleaned, the vehicle was decontaminated using CarPro`s Iron-X and Tar-X.

Then the vehicle was dried with a Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy towel and a Metro Master Blaster air dryer.

I found there to be left over plastic on the lips of the rims that was fairly easy to remove.

Then the paint was electronically measured to ensure there were no unknown repairs. Sensitive areas that could come into contact with the polisher were taped off to prevent any discoloration to the trim. The entire vehicle was polished with some areas requiring light compounding to remove defects.

After the paint was corrected, the focus turned to the wheels, each wheel was unmounted, cleaned and coated with CQuartz DLUX. The calipers were even airbrushed with CQuartz DLUX.

The wheels were remounted, and torqued to factory specs.
Finally the vehicle was cleaned with CarPro Eraser to ensure there were no oils or product that might interfere with the coating bonding to the paint. The doorjambs were sealed with CarPro ReLoad, all of the paintwork was treated to two layers of CQuartz Finest, the trim, headlights, taillights and rear diffuser were coated with CQuartz DLUX and all of the exterior glass was coated with Aquapel.
Afters.

My favorite shot... It`s all about that RS.

Thanks for looking!
