From Rag to richness - most Extreme Engine transformations by Detailien

Good question! I'm not sure but my guess would be that over time you would get some streaks on the film. Best bet is to just call the company up in San Antonio. They have a 1800 number. You can find it in their website.

Hey Brad, so your dad doesn't have any minor streaks which are really very light scratches. I called the guys up in San Antonio and they pretty much thought that very light streaks occured over time on those areas. Maybe not then.

Thanks for the replies guys. At $285 per headlight, I think I'll take my chances with minor scratching/streaks and go for the $50 Xpel.

I'm certain that over the years the Xpel will scratch. But, as RH deduced, it is worth replacing every couple years to save the expensive lights.

Many would have avoided this section of the ride -
too much hassle & too little satisfaction

Back ground
No - high pressure jet - only a few pairs of brushes & hands

But as for me.....I had a little help from my apprentice - my youth from a children home - who love detailing & we did it together

I LOVE grime and crud. As long as there's no conspicuous areas of corrosion or scabs of peeling paint it gives you the opportunity for the most stark before & after contrasts. Very nice work, as usual, KC.
