From arctic white to BLACK...now what

just traded my 08 trailblazer ss for something small and miserly...an 2010 Avalanche ltz!! lol black on black - never had a black truck before so what looks best on black??

Black Hole and Natty's Blue!! Meg's NXT 2.0 was designed for black vehicles and does a nice job at hiding minor imperfections but the gloss is not that of some other sealants but I find pure sealants to illuminate every defect so if it is very nicely prepped I would use a pure sealant like PB EX-P.

I have a black car and Blackhole topped with almost anything looks good. Although I prefer Natty's Red.

I think you need Groebuck's Cake Wash & Wax :lol2:

Congrats on the truck or should I say I'm sorry :hmmm:

souveran paste wax is a must!!!! its by far the best wax for black and all dark colors.... leaves a deep dark glossy look to your paint

lol swrils...never.....

btw the dealer tried hard to sell me the teflon coating super pack lol...super special teflon coating on my new truck never wax again!!

IMO if the prep is done right Dam near anything will look good on Black.

I tried Pinnacle Souveran for awhile on my vette.
It looked nice but when parked in the sun it would melt.

If you try to use a QD you just wipe the dirt into the soft wax and then you need to strip it and start over.

NXT 2.0 looks just as good as PS but don't melt but will last only a few weeks.

DG 105 looks just as good as any of the above but will last for months.

That may be fine for you but it would not work for me.
I own 7 vehicles and keeping them looking good would be a full time job with wax, Not enough durability.

I thought I could use wax on my show car and it worked for a short time but when I drove 100 miles to a show and they parked my on about 5 acres of asphalt with no trees within 100 yards the wax soon became so hot that using anything to remove the dust just smeared it into the soft wax.

I had brown smudges all over the hood, At that point I knew that I was not going to win an award that day.

When the judges came around they ask me what happened to my hood and I told them.

He ask me a lot of questions about the engine and after they had judged all the cars he came back and ask me more about my engine.

I could tell he liked it and when they had the awards they did not call my number for the top 30 but when they started on the specialty awards I got Best Engine.

That was my last day using wax I have 2 full cans of Pinnacle Souveran sitting on the shelf that I have no need for.:wow:

Wow I never had anything like that happen at the cars shows we go to. I have never even heard of anything like that happening. Weird :thinking

Since you don't have a use for those 2 cans maybe we can strike up a deal ;)

7 cars .i agree souveran would not be a good choice .a nice sealant would be i assume. i only have 1 truck to look after . and with 1 3 yearold and twins on the way i hardly have time to wax that thing let alone 7 wow.. thats cool owning alot of cars though..;)
